If the kitchen is large enough, you probably have an audience, like the dog or your spouse and if you have a kitchen island, your kids may be doing homework while you prepare meals. The removal of some walls or reconfiguring of a layout can bring an open concept kitchen into just about every home.
If your home does have a great kitchen layout but the kitchen island seems too small, the tile is screaming 1990’s, or the whole thing seems just to “stock”, a kitchen reface may be the way to go.
